Fashionistas will be overjoyed to learn that they will soon be able to shop on the go as ASOS announce that they are launching a mobile site to make purchasing their items even more accessible. Recycle your mobile and get a phone with internet if you want to stay groovy.

Having grown in popularity since its conception in 2000, the online fashion retailer is making itself even more appealing by driving traffic to it through a website that makes it easier to shop through the customer’s phone.

Having doubled the amount of site traffic through mobile devices since January, ASOS now sees 3% directed towards it as internet enabled phones become more widespread.

The mobile site will be accessible on Blackberry, Symbian, Android and iPhone operating systems, so most fashion conscious shoppers can easily peruse the online shelves to see the latest trends ASOS have in their store.

James Hart, ecommerce director at ASOS, said, “Our site works well on any device but we’ve also used web kit to further enhance the smartphone experience. For example, customers can multiple-refine from category pages at the touch of a button, which we believe is a first for a UK retailer.”

ASOS are doing so well that they have even launched themselves internationally. A US version of the website opened in September, and France and Germany are set to go live by the end of this month.

If you want to get your hands on the hottest trends, sell your mobile and buy one with internet capabilities to shop the ASOS store.
