To coincide with the launched of his new weekly webshow, comedian Harry Hill is releasing an app for the iPhone, so if you’re a fan of the funnyman you might want to sell your old phone and trade in for an Apple upgrade.

Known for his outrageous attire and refreshing form of comedy, Harry Hill is a TV critic of sorts for ITV with his show Harry Hill’s TV Burp, but before that he was making funny television, not commenting on it in his own unique way.

And now to get back to his roots, Hill has teamed up with AOL to launch 10 five-minute web episodes which form Harry Hill’s Little Internet Show. Shot at his holiday home, there promises to be plenty of new characters, sketches and puppets.

Harry Hill says: “I’m excited to be able to create these shows for a new and growing audience online. I hope viewers have as much fun watching them as we had making them.”

Wil Harris, managing director of video production company ChannelFlip who helped make the webisodes, said: "We are seeing demand from personalities and talent agencies because they know it is important to have a foot in the future. Talent are worried about missing the online generation and they might miss out if they are just on TV. They are thinking: 'I have this great, direct, following on Twitter. How can I personally leverage that?'"

And it is not just web users who benefit from Hill’s new venture. iPhone users will be able to get exclusive content when it hits the App Store on October 18th so if you don’t have an iPhone and want to get one now is a great time to recycle your mobile for cash to fund it.
