Following the app available on Nokia’s Ovi store, Apple’s iPhone are now launching a Tesco app which enables customers to easily shop for groceries from the convenience of their phone. Maybe recycling your old phone which was made by the Finnish company wasn’t the smartest move.

With everyone so busy, something queuing for groceries is the last thing you want to do, let alone lug them all the way back home which is why internet grocery shopping is so popular. But sometimes getting the opportunity to find some time to sit in front of a computer and order is quite a mission.

Because of this, Tesco have created an easy way for iPhone users to e-shop for household goods and add them to the online basket. But the best thing is that it syncs up to the Tesco website.

The tesco.com grocery app allows customers to:

  • Add/remove products from an existing order
  • Login to their grocery account
  • Book a delivery slot - Search for and add products
  • Browse for products by department, shelves, aisles etc.
  • Browse 'Favourites' - Display nutritional and storage info for products (not available for all products)
  • Seamlessly integrate their mobile grocery shopping with the same order on a computer
  • Checkout via their mobile or online

Laura Wade-Gery, CEO for tesco.com comments: "We're always looking for ways to make life easier for customers. The iPhone app creates a fantastic new way to shop with tesco.com whenever you want, whether you're adding last minute essentials or starting a new order."

If you have a busy hectic lifestyle, perhaps selling your mobile and getting a smartphone is the best option.
