A trusted source has revealed details about the add-on

Those who are waiting for the Xbox 360 Natal may want to trade in their old phones and gadgets for cash ready for its release in October, because new reports have suggested that it will cost 149 dollars.

Edge-Online got an exclusive scoop from a "trusted source" who told them the add-on will be available as either a bundle with the Xbox 360 Arcade console for 299 dollars, or as a stand-alone piece of kit.

Although no official European prices have been stated it is believed that the cost will be determined on a whole host of factors, one of them being exchange rates. According to current values, the cost of the Natal as a single buy would be 103 pounds (121 euros). If you were to buy the Natal bundle, it would set you back 207 pounds (243 euros).

The insider also made other interesting comments, such as the October 26 release date being shifted a few weeks depending on whether it's ready in time. Another intriguing mention was that the final device may not be called Natal and its proper title will be revealed at E3 next month.

"Microsoft expects to sell millions and millions of Natal units in its first year on the market so you can expect the software launch line-up to target non-traditional gamers," the source said. "A major marketing campaign will also play a key role in attracting and educating the expanded audience about Xbox 360's controller-free revolution."

If you are looking forward to Natal's release but are worried about the cost, trade in your used phones and consoles for cash to save some money towards it.
