‘Social network like a pro’ with LG’s new GT350

New Handset

Consumers may become tempted to trade in their old mobile phones for cash to put towards purchasing the successor to LG’s popular KS360, after the Korean giant announced the launch of their new LG GT350.

LG have sold over 5 million KS360’s since its launch in 2008 being particularly popular with the youth market and will be hoping for similar success with the new GT350.

The new handset has been designed specifically for the textually-minded boasting a 4-row side-sliding QWERTY keyboard. A fully touch-enabled 3-inch WQA screen has been introduced, upgrading from the partial touch screen from the KS360.

Social networking seemed to be high on the agenda for the LG GT350. Its interface has been optimized for social networks, providing full integration with popular sites Facebook and Twitter. Information from multiple social networking sites is aggregated onto one screen making it easier for the user to check status updates and keep track of friends.

Additional features include dedicated shortcut keys for direct access to social networking sites, push e-mail, the web browser and instant messaging. Registering multiple e-mail accounts is easy and messages are ready for viewing as soon as the GT350 intercepts them.

The LG GT350 will make its way into stores in Europe this April before launching in other markets around the world. LG have announced the device will be available in 4 colors: black, purple, aqua blue and light silver, some of which will be exclusive to specific mobile phone operators.
