Cloud gaming platform working on mobile phones

The experimental cloud game streaming service, OnLive revealed that the firm already has the cloud gaming platform working on mobile phones.

It has been reported that, CEO of OnLive - Steve Perlman, has demonstrated the online gaming system at a Wedbush Morgan financial conference and demonstrated how the system can ran simultaneously on multiple systems. Mr. Perlman commented: "Today, at a Wedbush financial conference in New York I showed OnLive running simultaneously on two iPhones, a TV, and a computer".

Expressing his excitement on the latest developments and the attractive opportunities OnLive could explore by integrating its cloud gaming platform with the popular smartphones, especially iPhone, Mr. Perlman stated: "It's important to understand that a cell phone is a very different beast than TV, PC or Mac ... currently, games on OnLive are tuned for TVs and computers, so initially, it's the Community and Social elements of OnLive that we're most excited about on mobile devices".

But, this facility is yet not available to general public as it requires further product developments. Moreover, the approvals from various mobile phone makers are still in process. So, for the time being, OnLive’s application on a mobile phone is only a technology demo.
