The LG GD910

Watch that phone

LG hits the mobile phone and watch market with the LG GD910. This fancy gadget, which not only looks fantastic, is according to Tom Alexander, CEO of Orange UK, "the must-have gadget of 2009. It's handcrafted, exclusively limited, and will turn heads on the high street." What are the key features of this futuristic watch phone?

Phone abilities

Despite the looks of the LG GD910 it functions just like a phone. The watch phone comes with a Bluetooth handset, because talking to your wrist might look a bit odd. It also has the video calling capability, and it's able to make photos in a 640 x 480 resolution.

Internet

The LG GD910 supports the 3G HSDPA, or 3.5G network for high-speed browsing and video-calling, up to 7.2Mbps. Along with that, the gadget is also rigged out with quad-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE support.

Offline features

A music player, 2GB onboard storage, voice commands, text-to-speech function are just one of the many features this watch phone offers. The water splash resistant touch screen has excellent sunlight legibility, and is optimized for finger usage with Flash UI.

Cost

A downside of this watch phone is the price. With the current price of £766 with at least a 12 month contract, it's definitely not the cheapest gadget going around. The big size of the watch phone might also be quite annoying in some situations, and the absence of an FM radio is remarkable. The LG GD910 is a must have for gadget freaks and the exclusiveness makes it a wanted device. To bring the high price of this watch phone down, you can sell your current and old mobile phones to Mobile Phone Xchange.
