Tesco are pretty great. Personally, I prefer buying my groceries from either Sainsbury’s or Waitrose, but Tesco is a superpower when it comes to the high street and offer a whole wealth of other products besides just washing up powder and cereal and frozen pizza. They are major competition to many phone retailers such as Carphone Warehouse, Phones 4 U not to mention branded stores like Orange, O2 and Vodafone.
For instance, they have just announced that they are accepting pre-orders on the highly anticipated Nokia N8 at competitive prices. For just £25 a month, you could get 750 minutes per month, unlimited texts and unlimited data, not to mention 1000 clubcard points.
Don’t be skeptical about them selling Nokia products for cheap though. Even the top phone of the moment, the iPhone 4 was being sold cheaper at Tesco than other UK retailers if you were to switch to the Tesco network.
And with the added phone stores Tesco are setting up they are really pushing the boat to make their already huge empire even bigger. They even offer mobile phone recycling.
So next time you pop into the supermarket, you may want to consider selling your phone and seeing what offers and deals they’ve got while picking up a four pint of milk.
